My husband and I just spent a week in Florida at a photography conference. The conference was really great and it was awesome getting to have so much time with my husband. We stayed an extra day and a half after the conference was over so we could relax and have some time at the beach. Every day of the conference was packed with classes, photo shoots etc. so it was great to have some down time at the end.
The area we were at has a TON of shells. There are so many washing up all of the time that, at times, we could even hear them clinking against each other as we walked along the beach.
On the last day as I was collecting shells, I would check each one to make sure there weren’t any critters inside. I had quite a bunch in my hands (even more than the picture below) when I felt something on my wrist. I looked down, screamed and threw all of the shells in the air. The creature on my arm was a BABY OCTOPUS!!! My husband wasn’t nearby, so I got the plastic baggie I was going to use for the shells and filled it with water and scooped up the octopus to show him before we put it back in the water.
Here he is. Crazy, huh? 🙂
I’ll post some favorites from the photo shoots tomorrow.
